William Sanford and Lydia Brockett Family
William Sanford, b. 26 Jul 1739, New Haven, CT; d. 2 Jan 1815 at North Haven; Mar. 12 Dec 1763, Lydia, dau of Mosers and Pricilla (Grannis) Brockett of New Haven. Wm Sanford was in the Rev. War in 1776, serving in the 5th Battalion, Wadsworth's Brigade, Capt. Brockett's Company. He belonged to the Church of England in 1759 and his wife joined the church 21 Feb 1779. On 8 May 1767, they deeded to Ichabod Brockett of New Haven the 4 1/2 acres in North Haven Lydia Sanford received by her grandfather Moses' will.
