Elam Sanford and Jerusha Larkin Family
Elam Sanford, b. 31 Aug 1815, New Haven, CT; d. 21 Jul 1881, Perth Amboy, NJ; Mar. 24 Oct 1834, Jerusha Larkin, dau of John and Sarah (Mallory) Larkin of Perth Amboy, NJ. She was b. 14 Feb 1820, New Haven, CT and d. 15 Mar 1910. He was in the oyster businessand except forhis early boyhood he spent his whole life in Perth Amboy. He was Deputy Collector of the Port of Perth Amboy under Pres. Willard Fillmore, and was Postmaster from 1 April 1869 until his death.
